This person needed a grammar and story editor. This novel is just a pastiche of over the top movie cliches, especially stunt cliches where people get killed, preferably by explosion. A father and son buddy story with beefy killers and a shadowy Corporation and of course a commandeered semi truck. I quit after 30 pages but went back later to see if it was that poorly written. It was. Add a movie cliche editor too. Too bad there's not a zero stars rating.

Pretty simple book. But then again, I only got to page 25. When the author wrote about the hero detective of the story, "He wanted to take Dawn-his little Asian, to eat there" I quit reading. Marginalizing others is not a way to get me to connect with the main character. And like I said, it's a simple book, it's not going to flip on its head and make the protagonist the antagonist. Just a thoughtless narrative that is trying to elevate the the ignorant, albeit what the author believes is the average, guy.
