Description

Princess Lenora Celeste Beatrice Arabella Pembrook had an unusual childhood. She was raised to be a Queen—the first Queen of Wessco.

It’s a big deal.

When she’s crowned at just nineteen, the beautiful young monarch is prepared to rule. She’s charming, clever, confident and cunning.

What she isn’t…is married.

It’s her advising council’s first priority. It’s what Parliament is demanding, and what her people want.

Lenora has no desire to tie herself to a man—particularly one who only wants her for her crown. But compromises must be made and royals must do their duty.

Even Queens. Especially them.

**

Years ago, Edward Langdon Richard Dorian Rourke, walked away from his title and country. Now he’s an adventurer—climbing mountains, exploring jungles, going wherever he wants, when he wants—until family devotion brings him home.

And a sacred promise keeps him there.

To Edward, the haughty, guarded little Queen is intriguing, infuriating…and utterly captivating. Wanting her just might drive him mad—or become his greatest adventure.

**

Within the cold, stone walls of the royal palace—mistrust threatens, wills clash, and an undeniable, passionate love will change the future of the monarchy forever.

Every dynasty has a beginning. Every legend starts with a story.

This is theirs.

Royally Yours is a standalone story and a spinoff of The Royally Series.

"If you've enjoyed watching The Crown then you are going to go wild for this times about a thousand. All of the mid-twentieth century royal flavoured atmosphere, along with as much sweet and sensuous emotion and drama, you could ask for. The whole series has been nothing short of delightful. And hot. Royally hot." -Kylie Scott, New York Times bestselling author of It Seemed Like A Good Idea at the Time

"This was a lovely read. Lenora’s loneliness radiated off the pages. Edward’s arrival saved both Lenora and me. It was a touching, sexy, beautiful romance. I feel fortunate to have read it." –Jen Frederick, New York Times bestselling author of Be Mine

"With all the timeless enchantment of a modern fairy tale, Emma Chase weaves a delightfully romantic royal affair that took my breath away. Long Live Queen Lenora!” –Natasha is a Book Junkie blog

“Something about Emma Chase’s writing creates a hungry hole inside me and sucks all of me in. Lenny and Edward are two people with extraordinary lives who find the gift of normalcy in the way they are able to love each other, and it's a beautiful thing. I teared up, smiled widely and did not want to return to real life.” –Sonali Dev, author of A Distant Heart

  • A beautiful love story

What a glorious story of the love & passion shared by Lenora & her Edward! I was a little reluctant to read this book knowing the end of their love story & the prickly nature of the older Lenora, but I should know better than to doubt Emma Chase’s ability to weave a beautiful compelling tale. And it wasn’t only the love story that drew me in, it was also seeing the vulnerable side of Lenora and watching her grow into a strong resilient young queen in a mans world. I can’t say enough about this book or the flawless performances of narrators Andi Arndt & Shane East on the audiobook. This was a five stars aren’t enough must read!

I was SO excited when I saw Emma Chase was writing this book. I absolutely LOVED the entire Royally series so I had high hopes for this book and I was absolutely not let down. This book is one that will stay with me, one that I will go back and reread time and time again. I laughed, I cried and I absolutely fell in love with this book. If you haven't read any of the other books in the Royally series you can absolutely start here. This is the story of Lenora and Edward and it is absolutely a fascinating and beautiful read. Your emotions will be pulled every which way but I know in the end you'll feel as satisfied as I did. I admire, respect and adore Lenora. She is one hell of a strong character. She's a woman who knows what needs to be done and does it-no matter what. She isn't afraid to speak her mind while still respecting traditions that have been in place for forever. Watching her grow and become the Queen she truly is was so gratifying. I wanted to hug her several times throughout this book, give her a shoulder, a friend to lean on. The grace and poise she has is tremendous and coupled with her passion? She's a force to be reckoned with. She may be my favorite Emma Chase heroine. Edward. Holy swoon. This man is positively breathtaking. He's smart and strong, which Lenora needs. He also respects her, which is something she demands but isn't given so freely from other men in her life. He's a beacon of support when she needs it. Watching him fall for her was beautiful. Just beautiful. These two together have chemistry in spades, truly. I love their banter, absolutely love it. I loved watching them grow together as a couple, figuring out their journey and what each of them could offer the other. Their sexy times were off the chart hot-I think my kindle may be permanently melted. This entire story is just beautiful. It is heartbreaking. It is sweet. It is funny. It touched me and had me bawling at moments. The writing flows and the pacing is just perfect. I felt like I was right there with the characters. This is absolutely one of my top books of the year. I absolutely loved it and would give it more stars if I could.

Lenora and Edward’s story is now officially one of my favorites, and one that I know I shall reread many times. I couldn’t put this down and read it straight through. So romantic and spicy, so full of love as two very stubborn people learn to come together in partnership. I see very well where Henry gets his wild streak from. Well done, most well done.

Royally Yours is the fourth book in the Royally series by the lovely, Emma Chase. You can read it as a standalone but I do recommend reading the previous books. If you haven’t read, you will definitely want to after this story. If you follow my reviews then you know I rarely read the synopsis. I had no idea this book was about the queen! I love Queen Lenora. When I discovered that I knew it was going to be an epic story especially when I teared up at the prologue. Lenora was born to be a queen. She learned at a young age what it all meant. And at the young age of nineteen her life had changed. She was no longer a princess. She was a Queen. It did not scare her and even if it did, she would not show it. Men already doubted her abilities, she would not cower. She would reign. She was prepared to make changes to Wessco. But there was one she didn’t see coming. Her advising council and the people of Wessco wanted her to be married. It was not want she wanted but she go through with it as her duty. What she didn’t expect was Edward Rourke. The man who would change her love of life forever. Edward left home and his title ten years ago. He didn’t want to sit and talk politics with untrustworthy and stuffy businessmen, politicians, and dukes. He wanted adventure. To find the next treasure. To give to others who needed them to survive. He did just that and now he was called home. And when he got there, he made a promise. A promise that he intends on keeping not because he feels obligated but because he wants to. He desires to. The moment he saw Lenny he knew she was the most beautiful, infuriating, intriguing and strongest woman he ever saw. The only woman for him. Edward and Lenny’s love story is brilliant. I loved Lenora in the previous books even when I was mad at her. After getting to know her as not only as the queen but as a woman...I fully adore her. She is funny, witty, smart, strong, and even sexy. Edward brings out the real Lenny. The one that was holding back until she felt his love. And Edward...the adventurous, filthy, sweet, and smart Edward. I LOVE him. *Swoon*. Together, their chemistry and love reaches into their souls. Overall...it’s my favorite book in the series! It had the perfect blend of humor, swoon, and emotion. I laughed so hard and cried so much. It’s makes me want to go back and read the previous books again. Quotes: “Greed, wealth and power? Oh my—it’s like a fairy tale. I may swoon.” “Making a life with you will be my greatest adventure, Lenora.” “We will be a laughingstock.” I shrug. “Man’s greatest fear is being laughed at. Women don’t share that worry—we’re laughed at practically every day of our lives.” Edward lifts his glass to me. “Well said, Your Majesty.”

When you’re reading the prologue and each word makes you more breathless than the last, you sense a story of greatness is about to unfold.   This is that story.   I was spellbound from the first word to the last. The story was unique and compelling and kept me on an emotional roller coaster throughout. I literally laughed out loud, silently cheered, and struggled more than once to contain my sobs. Ladylike sniffling just isn’t possible with this emotional read. The touching, beautiful moments evoked just as many tears as the poignant scenes.   Contributing to the amazing storyline were the completely enthralling characters. The secondary cast was just as charming as the main characters and caused many of my emotional mood swings.  Lenora instantly captured my heart.  She displayed such shrewdness, strength, wit, and confidence for one so young.  As she matured and wielded the power she’d been born to with an uncompromising iron will, my girl crush only deepened.   Edward. Ooooh, Edward. sigh. It’s as if the author peeked inside my head to create my perfect hero. No stereotypical, feckless husband for Queen Lenora. No, Edward is all man. A dashing, adventurous, sexy alpha – minus the hole. When he flexed his power or thrust aside tradition in defense of his queen, it wasn’t just my heart that fluttered.   Admittedly, I was a little nervous going into this story. I’m not a fan of history or period pieces, and I’ve been in a months long book funk, dnfing or shelving just as many book as I finished. My concerns were unwarranted on both counts. The author did an excellent job of creating the feel of a modern day romance. And if this epic, flawless read hasn’t cured my book funk, it certainly made all the duds that came before seem insignificant. Royally Yours is absolute perfection, and takes top spot as my favorite romance of all time. Long live the Queen! Every star in the galaxy.
