I will never forget this video! I remember copying it from MTV on VHS!

I believe this is Madonna's very first muisc video. It may not be one of her best, but it documents the birth of a music icon. The first time I heard "Everybody" I was at a night club in Milwaukee in the fall of 1982. At that time there was no MTV or "Madonna", there was just the music. The dance floor was full of people when the Everybody started playing and just as many people, or more, where on the floor when the song ended. I remember going to the DJ booth and asking who was that. The guy looked at me and said "That's Madonna.". That's where it began for me. It was several more months before I actually saw who she was. At that point I was already sold on her music; seeing her for the first time was the cherry on the sundae. Here we are, 26 years later; Madonna continues to thrill me.
