What a great album! And the guys that came to play with Johnny, wow!! Sweet Sixteen with Joe Bonamassa rocked my world. If you love the Blues, that's the song to take you to that sweet spot!!!

Been with Johnny since ‘The Progressive Blues Experiment.’ His attack was extraordinary for a youthful guitarist. It just kept getting better with each successive release. Growing up with Johnny’s music has been a real treat. Hell yes….I’m buying this one.

Imagine a new album release with a jam featuring Johnny, Stevie, Jimi, all the Kings, Muddy, with Little Walter on the harp, And spedial vocals by the 'Wolf! Thats worth going to heaven for! As that gig is sold out, we are going to have to have the next best thing in a few days - and that is Step Back! We miss ya' Johnny and as your brother Stevie up there would say, Soul to Soul. I now have this seminal work, and am blown away. Johnny puts chills down your spine. As I listen, I have difficulty associating the fragile physical form of Johnny, with this powerhouse. Yes its pure Johnny, as strong, as pure, alive and true as ever. I want those tickets to that heavenly blues jam, man! You have to have this album! Turn it up!! Rock in Peace, Johnny! Soul to Soul, babe

When I became a fan of Blues music, I developed a special love for GOOD slide guitar, both electric, and acoustic. There was none better than Johnny Winter at slide guitar! He proves that yet again, on this, his last album. He is in great form on this album, with both his playing, and his trademark raspy voice. Thanks for the music Johnny!
