Lakshmi Mantras: Clear, beautiful and powerful

If you want pure mantras, desire their beneficial radiant effects and want to bask in "The real thing", then I say these are for you.
My issue with many recordings of mantras and sacred verse is that they are so often over produced, dressed up by clever, well intended, yet always over bearing music, modernist decoration that obscures the pure effect of the mantra. It is often to mask a performance of the mantras that lacks heart, conviction, and centered connection.
Not so here. Barrios has been careful with the background in which the mantras which are sacred to Sri Lakshmi, the goddess of beauty and abundance, within and without, are presented. He has wisely chosen spare, yet supportive instrumentation for his voice. And his voice is the crucial element here. Is he worth listening to? Does he suit so ancient and auspicious words of grace and transformation? Yes. For sure. His tone is calm, deep, and peaceful. His articulation is as accurate as the most trained of Brahmins (allow me to brag, I know; I've heard them). He matches their skill at elocution while also matching the best of the Brahmins' techniques in a peaceful, confident, clear tone which allows the mantras themselves to enter your consciousness unimpeded.
When I listened to this recording, as it should, the clear, graceful chanting of the mantras steeped my consciousness in the shakti of the these timeless vibrations which opened the door to the experience of Light, beauty, calm, resonance, and with the right focus, my own inner Self. That is what these are for. That arrived while listening to them for me.
My recommendation is this: purchase this particular recording if you want a tool for Yoga, an aide to experiencing the grace of Sri Lakshmi, and a basket of Shakti to bath your life. I think if you treat them well and they will treat you well.
