I normally try not to listen to Christmas music before December starts... but this year I bought SCC's album the week it was released in October, and I can't stop listening to it, and humming it...! Some of these songs are just incredibly addictive and as the title suggests - they're joy inspiring. What a fantastic mix of musicianship and message. It just doesn't get any better! What a challenge it's going to be to figure out which of Steven's 3 awesome Christmas albums get the most listens in my playlist this Christmas! Thanks Steven for this wonderful Christmas gift to all your fans. It's so good to hear the joy in your music again! (A 2013 P.S.: This won the Dove award for best 2012 Christmas album! I wish this would get more airplay. I can't believe Christmas Kiss hasn't been picked up by adult contemporary radio, or that this album is currently quite low down on the iTunes holliday charts. This CD deserves a LOT more attention & airplay!! Get the word out this Christmas!)

Thank you, so much for this album! I worked retail for 20 years, and when Christmas came around I was forced to listen to carols for months at a time! I love the idea of having music about the season instead of the same old same old! This is great!

All the songs are wonderful, but Christmas kiss is additive for me. I love the jazz sound to it!

I challenge any other CCM artist (or any artist of ANY genre for that matter) to match the artistry displayed by SCC on this album. He effortlessly weaves through pop, folk, classic rock, and jazz for an eclectic collection of old and new tunes that are all simply fabulous! His arrangements of old standards are fresh and new - special props for a FANTASTIC arrangement of "Do You Hear What I Hear". SO many artists take cracks at that song and SO many fail to produce anything listenable, much less phenomenal. "Christmas Time Again" is a "Jingle Bell Rock" style track that out-rocks "Jingle Bell Rock" or any other song of that era and style. "Christmas Kiss" was SUCH a surprise - SCC does straight-up jazz! And does it well! Yes, he can croon with the best of them, and on the jazz tracks here he has never sounded better. "In The Bleak Midwinter" is an oft-forgotten gem that is hardly ever recorded, so I was super excited to see he did it. It gave me chills and brought me to tears. "Happy New Year" had a similar effect. From a man who's released three Christmas albums in his career, you may expect him to start running out of material or to start sounding stale. Not so. SCC has changed it up more than ever and yet produced a simply delightful product that is very distinct from his previous two Christmas records, and in a wonderful way. In terms of Christmas originals he is unmatched - Christmas in Kentucky, Christmas Card, I Am Joseph as well as the aforementioned three tracks are all phenomenal. This is a wonderfully eclectic album - the mix of styles means there's something for everyone. Serious musicians will appreciate SCC's unmatched musicianship and the skillful track production. Do yourself a favor this Christmas season and buy this album; then do your friends and family a favor and give them all one too! You are guaranteed to enjoy it.

Been waiting for this release and it does not disappoint! Well....nothing from SCC ever disappoints but this CD is awesome! A new direction for Steven for his Christmas recordings. I love all of his previous Christmas CD's. They never get old and this just adds to the list. Another reviewer said it had been 17 years since his last Christmas CD??? In 2005 All I Really Want For Christmas was released and just before that a special edition Hallmark Christmas CD was released. Don't hesitate!! Get this CD!!! Christmas is here!!
