This was the first official album I ever bought. I used to be a fan of Hammer's for the dance moves, and, never for the lyrics until I learned more about bars. This is the album he worked on with Snoop, Teddy Riley, and Death Row. Not his worst, but, not his best album. Definitely better lyrically than his previous albums.
  • Good song.

I think the review by Durandel was too harsh. Yes, this wasn't Hammer's best album but, it did have its moments. I bought this on cassette back in the day as a huge Hammer fan. Yes, I felt the overall product as a whole wasn't his best but there were some gems. "Breaking Off Something Proper", "It's All Good", "Don't Stop", and the smash "Pumps and a Bump" are the definite standouts. So if you want just the songs, there you have it. Don't buy the entire album though.
  • another great album

Look Hammer will never e confused as being a great rhymer. This release has Ted Riley behind the beats so its more a lot better sounding than the other stuff he made

This....this is terrible. I mean it with as much passion that I possibly have. Let's get it Started- AMAZING. PleaseHammer- AMAZING. 2 Legit- was ok. This- MAKES MY EARS BLEED. Hammer was such a good artist/entertainer. His music rivaled RUN-DMC, and the Beastie Boys in upbeat hip-hop and rap. But then.....something just happened. And I don't like it. The magic just....left him. The pants were gone....EVERY song having to do with how amazing he is has left....the funkiness the GROOVES....It's no wonder people stopped listening to him. If you like his real music, please, don't buy this. If you're a fan of crappy, stupid, pointless modern day rap, then go right ahead. Don't say I didn't warn you.
