Extremely progressive for it's era & way ahead of it's time Gary Wright's "Dream Weaver" was. He made an masterful album & recorded a legendary song using what was then unheard of & uncoventonal arrangements. Who'd ever heard of a synth in the mid 70's years before Giorgio Moroder & groups such as Human League would popularize it? Loved every minute of it! It was great growing up to music such as this. Fond memories, fond indeed. Hey it's Dream Weaver!

Saw Gary at Summerfest grounds in August of ‘76 with BTO and Peter Frampton. Oh, and some unknown band named Cheap Trick. BTO was horrible. Cheap Trick was booed off the stage and Wright and Frampton killed it!!! Awesome show.

Dream Weaver reminds me of boys having crushes on other girls. You judge what’s wrong with this scene!

I remember seeing Gary Wright live at the Oakland Coliseum touring this album. Good times folks, good times. He did a good live show and the album? Definitely lived on my Marantz turntable along with other 70s greats. Thanks Gary for good tunes to go with good memories.

When it was released, no one thought that an all keyboard and drum record would be more than a novelty. With only one guitar on one song, courtesy of Ronnie Montrose, this album is still fresh nearly 40 years now. Well produced with catchy hooks, Well done, Mr Wright.
