Wonderful!! Deana Martin has that special gift that her father had to really bring the music alive. This is what you call music!! My favorite is "Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone". Although they are all great!

Deana is a great artist in her own right. This album is a testimony of her beautiful voice and her tender heart which gives pleasure and love to a world that is lacking in both. It will be another Martin hit. She is truely her Dad's Daughter.

I received this album as an iTunes gift from Deana and have loved playing it every time...hmmm, let's see, that makes it 4 times in the last 3 days! Played it on my flight this morning and while at work this afternoon as well and cherish it very much. Well done Deana! You have an outstanding, velvet, smooth, voice to calm both the occasional and well-learned listener. Thank you for both the gift of the album as well as the gift of your enchanting voice. All the best...Eduardo

  • Deana Gets It

By Steven Maglio (singer of standards)
There are a lot of famous singers, I won't mention names, who are trying to prove to the world that they could sing standards. They believe that they could have still made it big if they had been around in the 30s & 40s and had to compete with Crosby, Sinatra, Como, and Martin. (Dean or Tony, take your pick) And they're all wet. They could never have made it in that realm, not for lack of talent, but because they just don't get what that style of music is all about. Deana Martin gets it, and proves she gets it with VOLARE. It's not just notes and lyrics, it's feelings and emotions. It's a varied selection of songs, shaded in different styles, but all with their roots in romance. Her rendition of "Return To Me" is not just sung, it's performed. The urgency in her voice tells the whole back-story and makes the song a short play. And most importantly, it's not acted, it's sincere. She Gets It. Deana Martin is one of today's very few singers who probably would have been a star during music's golden age, and she's certainly a star today. VOLARE is a gem. BRAVO, Deana.
  • It Just Keeps Getting Better!

When I first heard Deana's first CD, I thought that it was the best that anyone could do. She proved me wrong, coming out with Volare, which combines music from many different people: Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and many more! Volare captures the Italian side of Deana along with the classical music side. Combined with the great voice of Deana and the wonderful band behind her, her second album, Volare is a huge hit! If youre new to Deana Martin, make sure you also buy her first piece of work, Memories are Made of This, and also Volare, two of the best CD's that are out on the market now!

This is the best one Deana has released. I love it. These recordings will be among the favorite standards for years to come. I love the recording of Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone great song. Always love Deana's Italian vocals which are perfection. A wonderful variety of love songs, sing along favorites and feel good music. Love this new CD.
  • What's lacking...

Her accent when pronouncing the Italian words ruins many of these great classics and makes you wonder why they did not have someone teach her how to say them properly. Her voice is a bit lacking in strength so they had to tone down the songs and her vibrato is lacking also. The songs are still great, but the singer sadly ruins them.
