Sonically a different approach to r&b at that time, fanmail once again set the girls apart from the norm of girl groups. The electronic influence is prevalent throughout the entire album. Like CRAZYSEXYCOOL the album is rebellious in nature while carrying female empowering songs as well. The girls reinvent themselves once again and created an innovative album which in my opinion ranks just as well the predecessor

This album includes pop, rock, electronic r&b, hip-hop… And all songs have a great message to the people. This album gives me the ability to be strong. Songs like Unpretty are really powerful, the song Dear Lie is a great song to, it makes me not lie. TLC will always be the best group ever.
