Wow, I just discovered this... I'm a long-time Keith fan. The first concert I ever went to (at age 14) was one of Keith's just after the release of For Him who Has Ears. I never knew any of his pre-Christian music was online. These are fascinating songs. So much energy. Quite Beatle-esque. Awesome musicianship. Amazing to realize Keith was only in his early teens when these were written and released. (He signed with a record label at age 11!!!) Truly a fascinating collection for those of us who have only ever heard Keith's music from after his conversion to Christ. Question: Does anyone have a list of the credits for this album. The background vocals on Country Store sound like they *MIGHT* be 2nd Chapter of Acts. Just wondering..., (but if these songs are from the late 60s it would be too early for 2nd Chapter of Acts.)
  • It's Keith

For sure. Listened through tears because I still miss his music and passion so much. Incredible these tracks are available. Pieces of some of his best known songs are in these.

Some other reviews on here are dissing this EP simply because it is Keith Green before he converted. Frankly, that is not how any music should be judged. It should be judged on its very content. And this content is strong. Sgt. Pepper's Epitaph, for example is a fantastic look at the breakup of the Beatles as told through the perspective of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band breaking up. Keith Green was a brilliant lyricist, and it is incredibly evident here. I hope more of his early works are released.

The voice sounds really similar, and the music is sweet but the lyrics feel crossover. Maybe this is from his BC days? Does anybody know? Click yes if you think it’s him.
