I echo everyone else's comment about how ROMANTIC this album is, plus I will add this: as a life long romantic AND steam train buff, this album is "gotta have" for the 2 INCREDIBLE cuts with SOUL STIRRING steam train whistles!!! (Sayonara AND Local Freight…) Turn the volume way up…enjoy good stereo effects, WONDERFUL music, and happy memories !!! It DEFINITELY brings back the mood of the '60s !!!! Thank you , iTunes !!!!

I bought this album when it came out in the 60s and then lost it to my daughter's ex-boyfriend. I think it is one of the all time mood greats. You can listen by yourself and remember those days or you can listen with a friend and compare notes!
  • BEST MAKEOUT ALBUM EVER . . . . !!!!

I came across this album right after coming home from the Vietnam war and finding my wife had been running around with her boss, and manys the night I would lay on the living room floor listening to this. The music and the rainstorm sounds ( I LOVE RAIN ! ) were SO SOOTHING, and of course it IS the BEST MAKEOUT ALBUM EVER, too . . . If you have someone SPECIAL to share it with then YOU GOTTA HAVE IT . . . !

My father, God rest his soul, bought this album back in the late 60's, and I thought it was great then, and I think it is still great now. It soothes the soul and can be used to go to sleep peacefully. This is a classic album worth the price.

Don't listen to this by yourself. You need someone special! Trust me as I think my oldest daughter was concived while my young wife and I were "making out" to this album. It was one that was leftover from my single days. Excellent music to listen to while watching the fireplace.

In college, my equally-lovestruck romate and I would put this album on and listen in the dark, moaning about our girlfrriends. Ha ha These guys figured out that there's something romantic about rain, thunderstorms and music, and 1965 was the perfect time to figure it out. The train is cool. You are standing on the depot platform when you first hear it w-a-y-y-off to your left. Wait for it...
