I love Hero Comes Home and Gentle as she Goes. It's so soothing and peaceful. Would like to hear more songs like this :)

I would say that the 'What we need is a hero' is the best.

I would recommend the end song " A hero comes home " I love that song!!! :3 the movie was ok...But it's over priced!!!! The album is more than the WHOLE movie! The movie is $10! $15?!?! What the heck

This was released three years ago and it's still $15!? I love this album but will not buy it from iTunes because it's over priced. Two words: competitive pricing.
  • 5 Stars for Robin Wright-Penn

As soundtracks to epic movies go, this one doesn't dissapoint. The real gems though are the songs sung by Robin Wright-Penn. I honestly expected to see a singer's name listed as the artist and was pleasantly surprised to see that Robin sang the songs herself. Her voice is gentle and wavers a bit, the voice of a mortal not a goddess, but all the more pleasant for that reason. The sparse arrangements compliment her raw voice perfectly. Those 2 songs alone make the album worth owning. The song that could have been left off is Idina Menzel's version of A Hero Comes Home. I know Wicked fans think she can do no wrong, but honestly I don't see how Idina is any different than other women performing in musicals. The arrangement of the song is so generic, as is her delivery. The sing-songy voice and words that seem sung though a perpetual smile might work on Broadway, but on this soundtrack it seems completely out of place and for lack of better words CORNY. The song comes off as a Celine Dion/Sarah Brightman hybrid in the worst possible way.

While I love buying from iTunes, I really don't get why soundtracks have to be so expensive. I'm with the others. I'll buy it from BestBuy.

i am a bodybuilder & martial artist and use a few of these tracks for my training.tracks 1, & 4 are one of the best scores i've ever heard and they are intense, powerful, will get you in "the zone"----great for a fight/ battle.movie was excellent too, but even if you never seen it, i would get at least these 2 tracks, it will bring out the warrior in you!

If they did one thing right in that train-wreck of a movie, it was the music. Pretty good score, I like the Main Title particularly. So yes, don't let the dark cloud that is the movie overshadow your opinion of the music, give it a fighting chance.
