This great song has been clipped at the beginning...please correct!

"There are two versions of the song. The mono 45 USA released version contains the line "We'll be falling in love". Beneath the line "We'll be falling in love" on the stereo album version, the line "We'll be making love" can be heard. These are two entirely different recordings, not edits of one another, as the line "on a blanket with my baby is where I'll be" is sung differently in each version." I have this greatest hits on CD which contains the "stereo" version as apposed to the "mono" version released here. Most people are more familiar with the "stereo version" which is not included here.

Wow, 40 great tunes for $9.99 and also the original recordings!!!!! I have some very old Drifters vinyl albums--some in mono---that I couldn't find anywhere except here. Thanks iTunes! Some very little known, but real gems are here. Unless you're a grey-beard Drifters affectionado like me, you'll find these great songs: Baltimore, Hey Senorita, Sweets For My Sweet, When My litle Girl is Smiling, and Lonely Winds--a great Phil Spector-like orchestral arrangement with one of the deepest bas voices at the very end. If you like/love the Drifters, buy it!!!

If Rhino's Very Best of the Drifters is a fine R&B snack, then All-Time Greatest Hits & More: 1959-1965 is a three-course gourmet meal with dessert built on the same ingredients. Forget about the higher price and the fact that 40 songs might seem to be more Drifters than most casual listeners would want — All-Time Greatest Hits & More: 1959-1965 is a towering and magnificent collection of some of the best popular R&B ever done this side of Sam Cooke. And, as with Sam Cooke, the beautiful part of the Drifters' work during this period is that any look beyond and behind their hits reveals a lot more songs that were every bit as good as those hits. There's not even a slightly weak track anywhere on All-Time Greatest Hits & More, which contains the biggest hits Ben E. King, Rudy Lewis, and Johnny Moore sang for the group. "There Goes My Baby," "This Magic Moment," "Save the Last Dance for Me," "Sweets for My Sweet," "I Count the Tears," "Some Kind of Wonderful," "Up on the Roof," "On Broadway," and "Under the Boardwalk" are all here, mastered in surprisingly good sound for the late '80s. There's a lot more than that, however — the producers have also included killer B-sides (such as "Let the Music Play") that hadn't been in print since the mid-'60s, and they've dug even deeper to throw in finished tracks that were left in the vaults until the '70s. Excellent! The ones I remember are all orginals, and there are a number of great songs I'd never heard before.

It's been tough to find a Drifters album with all original versions and no re-recorded disappointments, but this may be that album. I've listened to 10 samples (all of the songs that I know) and this seems to be the real thing. Listen to all of them to be sure.
