  • Great exercise album using some favorite 80s music

    I think this is a good continuous play album for working out. Some reviewers complain these songs are covered, but, more often than not, the songs are covered for this type of album (just do a search on exercise albums and you will note the artist listed is rarely the original artist). Strictly speaking, the originals cannot be used "as is" since most times the beats per minute (bpm) will vary too much to make a reasonable continuous play album, so the songs are often made faster/slower to accommodate the desired beat. Knowing the originals well, they are not perfect, but are better than many other exercise/continuous bpm albums I've heard with covers.

    Wow! the gayest music I ever heard, where's the village people and judy garland? This just further solidifies the notion that Men's Fitness is just a G rated gay porno mag.
  • GOOD STUFF!

    Hey people... like it's been said, this is an EXCELLENT mix for group exercise classes. I am a child of the 80's and love it! As has already been said, you need special mixes for group exercise... and this fills the bill and I get to hear some of my old faves. I am a fan! Can't wait to play it for my next class.
  • Awesome Mix

    I'm shocked by the reviews I read for this album. Anyone who knows ANYTHING about workout music knows that there is NO WAY original artist can be used. The beat of the song would have to be sped up so much that the artist would sound like the chipmunks. I believe a lot of these reviews were written by people who only listened to the 30 sec sound clip for the songs, and not the entire album itself. These are INCREDIBLE club mixes of popular 80s songs.
  • Only one image comes to mind with this album.

    A bunch of ga-y boys with purple legwarmers and leotards bouncing around and kissing each other. There is no way a straight man could ever listen to this. The original versions of the songs are much better! Do NOT purchase this entire album! Thanks =}
  • Buy the real thing...not this

    I think the idea is a good one, but what would be better would be to take the original songs by THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS and re-mix it into a workout/dance mix. What they've done here, makes the songs sound like cheap imitations.
  • Seriously....

    Alright! I give this workout compilation 4 stars. My hat's off to you Men's Fitness for staying on board with the workout music generation. Anyone that likes 80's music with mixes to the original edition will enjoy this collection on the tread, track, hiking, and even while lifting. True that it isn't the highest energy music but it does keep your motivation going and workout on track. Thanks Men's Fitness!

    Wow. If I'd read the reviews before I bought this mix, I'd never have bought it. As it is, it's my favourite workout routine - I use it for step aerobics and treadmill walking nearly every day. The beat is great, the music is great, I don't mind the cover bands at all (they're pretty good). If you're a child (or teen) of the 80's and want a decent, low impact workout with some nice catchy tunes from back in the day, this is the one. Seriously - I love it!
  • Fantastic!
