I got this album to hear Highwayman, and see other songs by them. IT IS AMAZING. Take it from me I am 9 years old and have been listening to country music since I was born.

I bought this album on tape when it came out in 1986. It's remained one of my all-time favorites through all these years. This isn't country music. This is MUSIC, period. One of the best, most perfect albums of all time. Pure magic.

Love this album! Glad to own it, finally. 'The boys' sound great. They were a great team.

It's unfortunate that these great songs were subjected to the horrors of 80s music production. These craggly old cowboys are covered in sheets of silky reverb, shimmering synthesizers, and other tricks of the trade. Still, with a lineup as strong as this, they manage to rise above it (most of the time).

I just want to say to Mr Kris Kristofferson, I love you, and your music, i grew up in the 60's, my father loved your music so i got to listen to all of your music growing up. Although my told me all about ww2, and i know what a great American you are, and your service to our country. Thank You is not enough. I saw you video, last week i loved it. and it made me cry. a good cry. my Dad, was 25 years older than my mom and if it was not for him i do not know if i would know as much of your music as i do. People my age, or just the people i know just do not know about all of your music. But as i turn them on to your music they love it. This album is an album with 4 of the greatest country singers of all time! Highwayman is the title track and for a good reason, it and Desperados Waiting For a Train are the best. A must have for any classic country fan!

Im 15 and i love this album. I drive across country every year and i listen to this album the whole way. This is an album for every age. From 5-100. Willy and Johny are two of my favorite singers. Like Desperados waiting for a train!

This is a great album - these guys are stronger on their own with their individual, uncompromised voices - but still they are pretty good together as well, even if they are a little too much in their "comfort zone." I bought this album in a store and this has all of the songs that the one i bought has - it looks complete to me. Highwayman is a great song, I love Waylon's verse in it the best - he uses his voice so well to tell a story. Good album, definitely worth getting.
