I genuinely tried to listen to the album with a clear conscience and neutral perspective - that said, it’s almost unbearable to listen to. It took me 3 days to fully listen to it because I needed a break the first 2 times I tried. The mixing is really muddy and inconsistent. The production is mostly great; but the lyrics, substance, vocal performances, and overly aggressive pitch correcting/autotune makes it really hard to enjoy. The album had potential, but it’s trying too hard to be something that it isn’t. Extremely underwhelming for a record that was highly anticipated.
