Overall a great album

It took me a while to “get” Father John Misty, but now I’m a huge fan. Overall I love this new album. My complaint is that it’s sonically uneven. A couple songs should have been on FJM Chloe album. Good songs but they don’t fit the sound of this album IMO. The disco dance song I Guess Time Just Makes Fools Of Us All was released as a bonus track on FJM Greatish Hits. Love the song but it doesn’t belong on this album.

There doesn't seem to be any point to his career or his songs. It all meanders around, trying to decide what it's doing. Most of it sounds like show tunes from bad 1960s off-Broadway.
