I understand the immediate reaction netizen feel upon this debut; but personally that’s a discredit to the work these girls put in. What do you expect coming from the same label? If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it. Evolution will come later. This is a solid hit out the gate. These girls vocals, visual, & choreo are on point. 2nd verse is the highlight, capped off with the dance break at the end. The torch is currently being passed. Remember 2NE1? Yeah, same thing is happening here. Love the girls known as BABYMONSTER.

I feel like many of the opinions on this song are coming from people that were already haters since before. Of course, it's not the best debut song ever, but it's definitely not the worst when NMIXX's O.O exists lol. Yes, it still has that girl crush vibe, but is that not YG's thing? When you think of YG, you think of stage presence and RAP. They still have the rest of their lives to explore different sounds, if they choose so, but this isn't far off. It does have that YG song formula, but it does not sound much like 2NE1's or BLACKPINK's songs, to be honest. It has a nice sassy, lower tone to it. It reminds me of that sassiness you get from Lee Hi's earlier songs, if that makes sense. I feel like where this debut falls short is that the rapping is not consistently strong and the final section went the TREASURE route instead of exploring that dope-ah beat for a stronger breakdown. ASA's rap was fantastic, but Ruka's was not as strong in comparison. Overall, it's a good song, but it could've been better. Would've been better as a b-side.
