Ateez never disappoints with any album they release. This is only their 2nd album in a 5 year period. 12 diverse tracks. There’s a song on here for anyone.
The title track Crazy Form is a very fun song. Full of lil phrases you’ll be repeating by the second chorus. The music video is even more fun.
My favorite track is IT’s You by the unit of Wooyoung, San and Yeosang. The beat is seductive and the vocals, especially from San are as steamy as ever. Felt like ecstasy listening to this track. Yeosang def holds his own on this track; a different side we’ve never seen from him. Also Wooyoung with those adlibs , super sexy.
My next fave is Youth by Mingi and Yunho. It’s a laidback hip hop jazz infused tracks. Mingi’s deep voice in rapping and singing goes perfectly well with Yunho’s beautiful vocals.
Now Matz by Hongjoong and Seonghwa is a definite banger for any rock enthusiast. Seonghwa’s rap style in the first part reminded me of Cardi B’s style from one of her old songs. He def holds his own against the veteran Hongjoong.
The rest of the album is absolutely grand. Arrival is a sure fire hit with a Latin influence. Please note the skrrt skrrt of the song is used as a beat. Silver light gives that 80s synth vibe and definitely takes you on a Bladerunner sequence adventure.
Overall this album is amazing. Ateez keeps topping themselves with each album release.
If you’re just getting into them, I suggest you start at the beginning so you can see the progression. They really have a banging discography for a group from a small sized agency. What makes them standout is their music first, the lyrics, vocals, their tenacity to be one of the best, if not the best and of course their humbleness.
