Whole album is derivative of “Beyond the Pale”. Food jokes. I-have-lots-of-kids jokes.I’m-an-insensitive-husband jokes (wife choking instead of hee brain tumor). Potty jokes (we know, Jim…Taco Bell causes diarrhea). Suffering vacation jokes (ballooning instead of Disney). Whispering reachbacks to those jokes.
And Starbucks ordering is so crazy and complicated!!! Never heard THAT one before.
Jim sounds like a tired Andy Rooney. The material falls flat, you can tell it falls flat, and the audience reaction tells you it falls flat. It’s a retread of Everyman material who isn’t really an Everyman any longer.
