The BEST album Loggins and Messina ever made. Hard to believe it has been around 40 years and still sounds current. Love it.
  • The best L&M produced

Don't let iTunes steer you wrong. This is absolutely the best album L&M produced. Full Sail runs the gambit from the pop of Lahaina, the ballad of Watching the River Run, the love song of , what else? A Love Song, the progressive rock-and-roll-segued-into-Calypso You Need a Man/Coming to You and the haunting almost Beatlesque ending of Sailing the Wind. L&M did better songs before and after, but they never put together a better compilation than this.

If you are a Loggins / Messina fan at all, you must buy this one. This reminds me of sitting on my neighbors front porch on a summer afternoon and listening to the stereo through the screen door. The summer of 73' you had to be there.

.It may be a classic, but the beautifully recorded album still holds up today. Relaxing. Listen to straight through. Quality from start to finish.

I was 13 years old when this came out, and I remember it as a favorite of my older brothers. Watching the River Run is a particular favorite of mine. You Need a Man/Coming to You is awesome, and will get you groovin'! Great classic album to enjoy straight through.
