I like the concept.”
This certainly isn’t like The College Dropout or Late Registration, but I understand the concept Kanye is trying to get across the album, and I like that, but Late Registration is still far superior, as is The College Dropout.

That's right kids, this was the last Kanye rap album worth anything. I can still get some enjoyment out of this one. That being said, I only give it 4 stars because with this album, you can already see the beginning of Ye's great downfall, you can definitely tell that Kanye was trying to go more mainstream with this one, if only we had known how far off the deep end he would go on future releases! While this album does have some great moments (Big Brother being an obvious favorite for any true hip hop fan), it's still not on the same level as his first two albums. I even saw one review where the person was trying to say that not only is this Ye's best album, but maybe the best album of all time. When I read that I wondered if that particular reviewer was smoking crack.
Absolute masterpiece.
