I'll be 64 this year and I've often wondered whether this album is overrated. There's four versions on iTunes, which seems ridiculous. When I hear Leaving or Day, I'm enthralled. But there's a lot of cleverness (ditties). But it's so creative. Compare to Born To Run, Dark Side, etc., how does it do? There are some big names I believe have been overrated, VU, Dylan, but Pepper is still 5 of 5, 10 of 10, just not 100 of 100. It's very good, not quite their best (Abbey Road). And, it's not Mozart, folks. It's pop music, the perspective most missed.

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was made when they were high on LSD, so if you read it carefully (L)ucy in the (S)ky with (D)iamonds. The capitalized letters are actually in order LSD the drug which they were high on. Listen I know they changed the song to Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds after the controversy but still. The Beatles were good at singing but a horrible band and people. They did drugs and also said they were better then god. Horrible people and honestly John deserved to die for saying that, not being harsh. Good day.

Is this the greatest rock n Roll album by the Beatles ? I say no in my opinion as a fan see Abbey Road or rather hear Abbey Road but it is a true masterpiece in concept and execution innovative and brilliant.

Music has advanced so much since this point. This album is overrated and the songs are bland when compared to other genres. 90s music blows this away.

This album is one of the essential Beatles albums! It’s so good and unique! An iconic record in Rock history!

I absolutely love the Beatles and this is my favorite album from them or anyone else. The Beatles are the greatest band ever objectively and subjectively. It’s too bad that future generations won’t accept the Beatles because they aren’t modern they are the best it’s just too bad.
