Just now saw that in the soundtrack category, this is on the list of best albums in that category, and I’m shocked! In a good way, of course. We actually watch this movie every year, on the first night of our yearly Christmas movie marathon, so I’m glad to see it doing well!

This soundtrack embodies innocence and hope, pathos and virtue, all without a hint of cynicism or sarcasm. Not sure we could pull this off today when children are expected to be adult and adults demand to remain toddlers. Listening to this 30 year old soundtrack brings me forward 30 years to a time, I am convinced, when innocence and virtue will have returned to dispel our present chaos. It makes me smile.

Just an amazing album to go with another Muppet classic film. Here’s to seeing more Muppet albums, especially with this year being the anniversary of several Muppet projects from the past.
