This was Wayne’s rock debut from 2010, though it still has some hip hop tracks; it’s basically a rap rock album. Some songs sound more punk rock and some sound more just like rap. Wayne plays guitar on several of the tracks such as On Fire, Prom Queen, Ground Zero, and Da Da Da. Live instruments accompany most the songs, with Travis Barker providing some of the drumming and production on tracks such as One Way Trip and Drop the World. I think some songs such as Knockout and Da Da Da got too much heat, as I actually enjoyed them. Sometimes Lil Wayne’s lyrics leave something to be desired, and his use of auto-tune might be a little excessive. However, overall the vocals are good. Drop the World featuring Eminem is the standout track, though most of the songs slap. American Star, Get A Life, Paradice, and Runnin’ are all strong rock-themed songs that weren’t released as singles on the album. I’ll Die for You is a little sappy, as it gets too sentimental with Wayne making emotional outbursts, but sonically it isn’t bad. An interesting album worth a listen.

I really respect that he put out something that was different (trust me, esspecially considering that it is lil Wayne) but this album is a mess and he was not made to make so called rock music.
