I wrote a fairly negative but honest review on one of their EPs and they literally deleted all the reviews just to get rid of it, so I'll reiterate what I said! :) Chase Atlantic lacks originality. They started off by copying The 1975 (with songs like "Run Away" and "Obsessive") and 5 Seconds of Summer ("Anchor Tattoo," the guitar parts are so achingly similar) and now they're trying to make trap music?? It sounds just like everything else out there; I wouldn't be able to pick this out from the crowd at all. This isn't "alternative." At least when they were ripping off The 1975, it actually sounded pretty okay. This is just....... farther and farther down the drain. (Talk about wasted talent and musicianship!) Look, I understand if this is the music the "band" wants to make now but it seems like they have an identity crisis every other year. I don't even know why they're on the lineup for Warped. It's really sad to see a band who put out two great EPs (Dalliance and Nostalgia) go in such an odd direction. Guess I'm getting off this train.
