I just used the sample. I had problems with the book discussing undefined features without any pictures. I was able to follow most of it because I do have some experience with Macs, but I would think that someone just starting out isn't going to have a clue. I found two books with similar titles by David Pogue in the iBooks store that seem so much bettet (and far better written) that there's no comparison. I certainly wouldn't buy this.
