Description

From New York Times bestselling author Kristen Ashley comes the new book in her River Rain Series, Taking the Leap.

Alexandra Sharp has been crushing on her co-worker, John “Rix” Hendrix for years. He’s her perfect man, she knows it.

She’s just not his perfect woman, and she knows that too.

Then Rix gives Alex a hint that maybe there’s a spark between them that, if she takes the leap, she might be able to fan into a flame. This leads to a crash and burn, and that’s all shy Alex needs to catch the hint never to take the risk again.

However, with undeniable timing, Rix’s ex, who broke his heart, and Alex’s family, who spent her lifetime breaking hers, rear their heads, gearing up to offer more drama. With the help of some matchmaking friends, Rix and Alex decide to face the onslaught together…

As a fake couple.

I wasn’t going to keep reading in this series after the first book because I wasn’t a huge fan of the first. Overly detailed and a little all over the place, but it served to establish the setting for the next 2 books so I gave book 2 a try, and glad I did! I am a huge fan of KA’s and have read all her books and that’s because she is amazing! This series started as so-so for me, the second book was better and this one was fantastic! I loved this story of Rix and Alex, so well written as KA knows how to do. Keep going, book 3 is worth it!

I’ve followed Kristen Ashley’s career for along time. I’ve read almost every single book she has written, and I’ve always loved how detailed she was. Some books are hit and miss, but her books were never rushed or felt like the story hit the climax and it was over in 20 pages. With that being said, this book right here is in my opinion, the best book she has ever written. It catches your heart strings in a way she’s never done before. I love the depth that she writes in this book and brings to light the fact that you shouldn’t walk on egg shells in certain situations. I loved this book so much I’ve already ready it twice and given a written review (which I have never done before). Do yourself a favor and buy the book!!!
