A MUST read! This is such a real life type of romance! So wonderfully sweet and eye opening. Savage is so sexy and so real male alpha even with all he has went through. This book really changes how I see certain things now (with out giving any spoilers away.) love true love really can conquer all.

I loved Savage & Dani. She walks in all in charge, and Savage is captivated. This book surprised me, and that is seriously hard to do. I can’t wait to read about the whole family.

Savage Collision: A Hawke Family Novel (The Hawke Family Book 1) by Gwyn McNamee 5 Stars Danika Eriksson, an investigative reporter for the Times can't get a hold of her baby sister, when she finds out she is stripping at The Hawkeye Club she is beyond angry and goes on a rescue mission, she is convinced that somehow her sister was coerced into dropping out of college and taking to the pole for money. Danika is a tough as nails, take no prisoners kind of woman, she has no filter when it comes to running her mouth. She gets all she needs from men with one night stands and doesn't want anything do with relationships. She's currently working on trying to take down the head of the biggest crime syndicate in New Orleans who she has found ties in somehow with the Mayor. Savage Hawke, owner of The Hawkeye Club, a high class gentlemen's club, with very strict rules, he works hard to protect his reputation as well as his girls. He lost his dad when he was young and stepped in as sort of a father figure to his 3 sisters and younger brother as well as be as supportive as he could to his Mom. Danika storms straight into Savage’s office at the club ready to do battle to rescue her baby sister from this man's clutches, as soon as she sees him she is taken aback by the way her body is responding to him, but she stays strong and tears into him anyway. He is immediately captivated by her, her fiery attitude and no filter take him by surprise and he wants her. He knows he shouldn't pursue her, when she learns of all the secrets from his past she will run away as fast as she can, but he can't help himself…. When Danika can't get this man out of her mind and receives a dinner invitation she wants to decline, but she can't and their time together leaves her needing so much more. When some of his secrets are revealed her need to run is almost too much to ignore and she does just that, but she finds out quickly that what she wants and what she needs are two completely different things. Will his secrets drive her away forever or make him drive her away all on his own? Can he give her what she needs to satisfy her wants and desires? What happens when the assignment she is working on goes south really fast and to her surprise he may be the only one that can save her, but this could also be what drives her further away. I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to dive into the next. When the book first started I wasn't sure if I'd like Danika, I thought at first I'd have trouble with her coldness and views on men/sex and her no filter but I was quickly and pleasantly surprised that not far into the story it actually worked and I loved her very quickly and I can't even find words for how much I fell in love with Savage. This is my first book by this author but will in no way be my last. I loved how the story flowed and there was no fluff added in to just fill pages, every word was perfect. I loved it!!!!!

This is my first book by this author and I was not disappointed. I love books that offer a good dose of suspense along with romance and heat and this book had all of that! Danika meets Savage when she goes to his club to give him a piece of her mind and tell him exactly what she thinks of him and his profession. There is instant mutual attraction but, of course, they avoid it, at first. Danika is working on a story about some unsavory characters and her informant keeps getting cold feet, pulling her further and further into dangerous territory. I can’t say anything more without giving too much away. However, I will say that if you like spice and suspense in your books, you should enjoy this one. I gave only four stars because I felt some of the secondary characters could have been developed more to provide more depth and to get you invested enough to find out more about them in their spin off stories. Overall, very entertaining and intriguing story.

Loved the chemistry and surprises in this story! Of course there were times I wanted to throw my book across the room, but can't damage the pretties!!! So I threw my arms in the air. Loved all the characters and can't wait to read the next two stories.

Debut author Gwyn McNamee has a long career ahead of her if Savage Collision is any kind of sign. WOW!! I was up to 3:30am last night because once I started reading I couldn’t stop! This story is about Savage Hawke and Danika Eriksson who are both battling demons from their past. Can they overcome them to find their HEA? I have so much else I want to add to this review but I don’t want to spoil anything. I will say Savage Collision IS A MUST READ!!
