There are plenty of books that deal with in-depth studies of the various campaigns & details of this war. Writing an overview with sufficient details to cover the critical path, yet not so much as to result in bogging down the reader, is very difficult. But this author & book does it quite well.
Too Simplistic

Anyone who can cover a topic as complex as WW1 in 45 pages is clearly out of their element. Also, with such limited insight, the author could at least fact check his information... i.e. "Woodrow Wilson's Association of Nations (became the United Nations)" is absolutely incorrect. Woodrow Wilson's Association of Nations became the 'League of Nations' which the USA and other major countries did not join. United Nations was formed after WW2.
Wikipedia has more info on WW1 and other sites on the internet also provide more detail.
